I love it but will never dish out that much loot for it. Even a grand is too much for a $50 piece of plastic. They are cool tho.

I like mine too but wasn’t happy when the screw holes began leaking during rain. I plan to apply a little silicone and got it another try.

Kinda confirms what I was thinking when I stumbled on this one day. Polycarbonate isn't probably going to be the best material for a clean outside view. It'll let plenty of light in, but it will not be too clear, and perhaps even tend to yellow.

I would like to see someone offer a kit to take your freedom panel and cut tempered glass panels into it.

i.e.

Probably waaaay late on this but JEETOPS does put full panoramic inserts in your top.

I have a friend who put these in her jeep. She suffers from seasonal depression (as do I) so she uses hers in the winter months in Ohio. She gets the afternoon sun (mostly just light in Ohio) and the top helps warm the jeep. She says it helps. I haven’t noticed much wind noise compared to my lined Freedom Tops. She removes it in the spring bc the Jeep gets way too hot. If the cost were not ridiculous, I might get one.

I have Clearlidz in my truck when the soft top isn’t on. It’s … unique, but I actually miss it when it’s not on. Love the open feeling and the light. It’s not panoramic in the sense that the ribs distort the view, but it’s still very cool. Mine was also a CL find for around $700 which made it acceptable to me. It’s noisy though, and more wind noise than the freedom tops for sure. The owner of Clearlidz is great though and says most of that can be cleared up with adjustments. I just haven’t cared to do the trial and error.

Jeetops is likely the better option, but went with these for one reason: when I move on I can simply sell this on its own and get my money back. JeeTops would be a sunk cost and go with the jeep.

I bought the JeeTops for my wife's JL. We did the core swap and I think it came to about$1000. It's different. Is it worth it, not really. Kind of regret buying them.
