Bestop sun rider retractable shade mod

Little brother gave me a brand new sunrider top and I had a spidershade already on it. I am 6’5” and if I wore a hat, it would run on the shade. After searching I found the bestop retractable shade and said hell yeah. Installed and loved it except for two things. The bar is damn near in the middle of the open air section and it also leave a gap from the bar to the top…. This gap allows the sun to hit me directly in the face. Thought about it and came up with a solution…… mocked up some brackets and my bud with a 3d printer hooked me up. See pictures and tell me what ya think. Only concern is the added hump to the rag top due to the bar being moved back and up.

I put a couple pieces of pipe wrap to cushion the corners from the top just now. I was a little concerned about possible rub through but I think it will be alright now with the insulation.

Five stars for ingenuity, I haven't installed my Bestop sunshade yet but am not a tall guy so I don't
anticipate any issues, anything short of wearing a hat to prevent scalp sunburn ! Thanks for sharing.
