Jeep heads, wanted to share a bit of glory from Friday. Work took me to the far out hills in AZ, over a rocky ass pass in that broken mining terrain. On the way back, saw a glimmering stripe cutting across a hillside perpendicular to the highway. Saw the telltale mud on the road after the guard rail ended. Hit the brakes, turned hard right after the guard rail onto a dirt road. 2 minutes and I'm seeing those roads with numbers heading off different ways. Followed this up past an electric grid of some sort. Road ended and trail began with the black tire rubber coating some jutting rocks heading up&up. Up that a ways and top out overlooking a lake! Lol. Jump out to take a leak and it hailed, the sound pppphhhttt on the lake. Wind came up the draw. Craggy mountains under a storm. Priceless. Total diversion time, 25 mins. Total time in 4 wheel drive, eh, 20 minutes. Plywood Rating? 100.
