Just wanted to put out a PSA for anyone looking at the Black Horse Max T (MBT-MJ105) bull bar. Ordered mine and went to install yesterday. According to the site, it was a fit for my 2020 Gladiator Rubicon. No fitment notes that would state otherwise.
No dice. The brackets that mount the bar to the frame interfere with the mounts for the front steel skid plate. Unfortunatly, this isn't mentioned on their site OR in the instructions.
After contacting them, they said the factory skid plate has to be removed. Wished I knew this prior to ordering. After asking why this isn't mentioned anywhere under fitment notes or explicitly in the instructions I was met with radio silence.
I'll still use the bar and fab up an alternative bracket that will work and allow me to keep the skid plate. Just wanted to let anyone know who can't do that, and has the skid plates and doen't want to get rid of it (like me), to possibly look for an alternative.
