Blower motor noisy when defrost set on high

I searched the threads and could not find anything. It just started today on the ride home from work. It has a loud hum when the defrost speed is set to high. It has a low hum in the middle speed setting. It gets louder the higher I turn the fan. I had this issue in my 2014 Silverado and it ended up being a leaf dropped into the blower motor when changing the Cabin air filter. It has been rainy and windy the past two days and a ton of leaves have blown on my Jeep yesterday at a shop i was in for a few hours. Is there a place on the Gladiator that a leaf can get into the defrost blower motor?

Oh crap! I didn't even know that my 2014 Silverado had a cabin air filter.

I don't have one. 2500hd. Maybe yours was a 1500?

You are correct. Mine was a 1500 series crew cab.

My Cherokee had a whistle noise in defrost during the winter last year. There was a blend door test that ran all doors open and closed. A few times and recalibrated in reference to the movement. The whistle stopped. I know that the Gladiator has a calibration as well.

I found out just now that there is a retro fit kit if I really wanted one.
