First post here and I did search to find similar issues but didn’t see anything, so here goes…
Got a new diesel Rubicon gladiator about a month ago and my iPhone connects just fine to CarPlay whenever I drive. However, on drives over about an hour the connection to CarPlay seems to randomly disconnect. It doesn’t seem to work again until I turn off the Jeep for 30+ minutes. If I stop quick at a gas station with the Jeep off for 5-10 minutes it still doesn’t reconnect when I start again. I’m using an official apple cable and I’ve tried plugging in to the armrest connection as well with no luck. I’ve tried multiple cables as well. Seems that the wiring or something must be overheating on long drives and won’t work again until fully cool.
This will be hard to replicate at a dealer as it doesn’t happen unless I’ve been on the road for a while.
Has anybody else had similar issues? Thanks so much!!
