Drunk attacked my Jeep

So just an update, truck is not totaled and they are finishing up the estimate tomorrow. The only issue they see is that it may be delayed depending on parts availability. They are even going to have a shop remake the decals for me. Can't wait to have my truck back. This 2022 Nissan frontier rental isn't bad but it sure has some rock hard seats!

Didn't expect it to be totaled at all with the type of damage that was done and the sort of impact. Most of the energy was gone by the time contact was made. It would have taken a heck of a lot more energy to have done serious damage. One could tell by the back end it wasn't that distorted. The box floor and mounts would have given well before the frame or critical parts. It's how they are designed.
That's cool they are going to "put it all back" including decals.

Glad to hear you got it back.
On the DUI driver's my first vehicle was totalled by a Drunk driver he already had multiple DUI's and no D/L no insurance. Ten days before I left for basic training, car totalled nothing to drive. You can guess what I think of drunk driving / driver's.

I was asleep at the time in the house thankfully. Of course the drunk listening to blasting opera was perfectly fine. Poor jeep took it in the back driver side as his rav4 rolled. Just missed the front half. I guess I should thank the piles of snow from my snowblower for slowing him down some.

Yah, we got drunks in our city too. This video is from my dash cam. Note, the opposite direction traffic is SUPPOSED to be way on the LEFT on the OTHER side of the median…..
