With the arrival of some parts I have been trying to think of ways to wire up accessory positive feeds and fuses. Originally ai was going to use a blue sea buss bar until realizing how large it was and would hamper the ability to mount other things.
So them I came to the ”ah-ha” moment realizing the blue sea block fuse fit right over the studs on the genesis system.
But one problem was the studs were not insulated. So by just tightening things down the fuse is not the sole path of electricity
pondering how to utilize this method of fuses but make sure that all electricity travels through the fuse I used a double wrap heat shrink over the stud, a rubber washer on too of the lug, and a flat washer and teflon lock washer over top. The idea here is to make sure the lug is insulated from the bolt by the double shrink wrap and that the bolt/washer to tighten everything down is insulated so that electricity cant just travel the bolt but is forced to go through the fuse.
anyone have thoughts on this to offer?
