Can I ask how did you get gator half doors as they were not available in 2020? I have a Gator Mojave and really want the half doors.
i purchased them from someone that bought a JL last year and had the 1/2 door option but she no place to store them. I was just lucky. I always look in craigslist for parts for JT. I paid 1300 for doors but were white. I then took to body shop to paint. They removed all the interior and painted it all gator for 1100 approx.

Good Luck, they are out there.

I lucked out and found these on Craigslist. I had to have my brother-in-law get them and ship across the country. They had proximity locks, but the mirrrors did not have blind spot, so I put the mirrors from my full doors in. I was worried that it would need a different harness, fortunately they worked. Finding the color That matched was the big bonus. The only thing I’ll need to change are the key locks.

These things look great. I'm hoping against hope at some point before I'm in position to buy a JT that halfsies become an "only door" ordering option vs having to order dual doors.

Anybody in the aftermarket making slider uppers yet?

Well perhaps its just me but I totally fail to see the purpose of these. I could roll my window down and get the same effect it appears. I could see fabric soft doors for a quick on and off but I could take my doors off almost just as easily as taking these off. Again don't see the fascination

They are a lot lower than just rolling the window down. More coverage than taking the door all the way off. If you have the uppers, a little bit more security too. And you're covered if it starts raining. Also, just subjective, but half doors are sexy.

After getting a set from FB market I absolutely love these doors.

I prefer to run doorless, or tube door, most spring and summer. Having to always watch the weather is a PITA. Especially when it changes out of no where and you’re stuck either waiting for it to stop raining…or just suck it up and get soaked. Im not above getting rained on inside my jeep…but id sincerely like to keep my $55k daily driving truck as nice as i can. Half doors let me just throw the uppers on and im good to go.

Also since getting a camper i now tow every 2-3 weeks…I definitely don’t and wont pull my camper 150-250miles with my two kids / wife / 2 dogs in the bed….with just tube doors. Having the half doors let’s me just put the uppers in instead of swapping doors a bunch of times.

And the half doors let me run my favorite setup for the jt. No (or half) doors with just the safari version of the top up.

These doors add an entire layer of versatility to the JT that lets it be a full time driver, and still a fun driver, with little to no additional work involved.

Juat my $0.02. Absolutely not the case for everyone.

I get what you are saying about the weather as I have to do the same thing on my 50 mile commute each way. But I suppose I still don't get the doors. They appear to be almost basically like a regular door just shorter. Are these just like a thin outer shell that pops on and off as I know they do not have any window in them. Haven't seen them in person just photos thus to me they look kind of like a regular door.

Ill snap some pictures for you when I can but the windows are actually really impressive. They have a plastic frame that keeps them steady. Once you adjust them they dont let in air or rain and dont flap and flop around like other doors have in the past. They have zipper windows on all four doors so you still have an openable, functionable, window. The doors them selves are way lighter than the standard doors, i guess because the glass is gone. They also a bit thinner which makes the cabin feel larger, just like tube doors do.

I was looking at the fabric doors from best top mostly just to have something I could throw in the bed of the truck in case it rains while I am at the office and could throw on quickly for the ride home to keep the spray out. But man those things ain't cheap

@BAT

Here are some quick pics. weather changed and now its going to be raining during my drive home, so I went out while at work and popped em in.

The first three pics i left it sitting just in the door holes so you can see how it goes in.

I can also do a short video if that helps. Not trying to sell ya or anything. But the beauty of this forum is the amount of info we can get from one another.
