Great News! After searching and trying the Mopar ones a dealer told me would fit(they DID NOT), ordered ones from Weathertech…..and they work! They also are a bit better quality than the Jeep rear ones I installed.....

can those be installed a little higher so the bottom is even with the bottom of the rock rail for off-road purposes? Or are they made to line up in that location only?

I ordered the WeatherTech mud flaps and ended up sending them back (which was expensive). They only mount one way, as far as I know. They are high quality but hard rubber/plastic (minimum flexibility). I didn't think they would last long off road since they hang down so low. I drive on a lot of deeply rutted wood's roads, so I could just see then being ripped off. It might be possible to cut the bottom off to the desired height but I don't know how they would function being shorter.

If its just a matter of it hanging too low, why not just trim the bottom?

The problem with plastic mudflaps is that impact tends to do damage or pop them off.

I just got a set for the front in, not to sure I'll like them.... Supposed to be "quickly removable" not. Well at least it should stop the road slop from being all over Jeep sides. And do fit Max-Tow with Mopar rock rails.

Max Tow - you can see the molding in the mudflap for the factory and aftermarket rails.

I seen that and they will fit with OEM rock rails. But I didn't want to be out in rain installing. Being a vampire "I work nights" I ran out of time and started raining again. Right now I have them in passenger side floor ready to be installed. Now the rear ones don't fit (Max-Tow) according to the company. Up date I installed them fit with Rubicon rock rails , they hang low as everyone else has pointed out. I wish I'd seen link for them from 4WD parts.. better price than directly from mfg. all 4 for same price. One screw was a real PTA to attach on OEM liner being thin and flexing on left side, passenger side no problem.. I have to see how much protection from rocks and mud from sides.
