I purchased a pre owned 2022 Rubicon Diesel in April. Absolutely love the truck (after getting past a faulty IBS sensor that was lighting up CEL constantly). I’ve noticed that the previous owner must have had a lot done to it as I’ve seen several places where it was obvious mods were removed to trade the truck back in to the dealer.

I recently figured out that the fog lights don’t work and I believe it’s because the previous owner spliced into the wiring above the harness and did a shoddy job taping it back up after removing whatever was spliced in.

I don’t have a warranty from the dealer outside the factory warranty (I bought it As-Is). I’m very handy (I’ve hung and replaced lights in my house, installed and wired my winch) but trying to decide if this beast is worth me trying to correct it or taking it back to the dealer and waiting a week for them to figure it out, decide it is my responsibility and not covered under warranty and charging me $1000 to replace the wiring harness.

I would appreciate any tips/guidance on how best to approach fixing the issue here.

A good wiring diagram and a volt meter and you should be able to fix that

Thanks! Tracked it down tonight with my voltmeter and the diagram and I’m back in business
