Came up on an accident probably from the previous day. Burnt out flares on the road. But a huge pile of tomatoes piled together about 2.5 feet high for 30 feet long.
Thought to myself “I will never get a chance like this again” then proceeded to plow thru it twice.
My friend that was following me in another car said I left a tomato trail for a couple of miles as they started falling out.

Last picture is when we made a stop at a farmers market. Lol, I pulled out what I could reach.

Interesting. You may want to do a Google search for the effects of tomato acid on car paint

Im sure that your thin"skinned" friend was not pleased. However I bet you thought it was a "puree "experience .I wrote this because you "planted" the idea

No worries there. I washed the truck the moment I got home. Picked out the rest of the tomatoes.

When I was in my 20's I work on a farm picking vegetables as a side gig. Most days I would not get off my full time job in time to catch the wagon to the fields so I would just drive my truck out. My truck was a junk pile. I gave zero shits about it.

The guys would throw rotten tomatoes, beans, corn and more at it. I refused to wash it. I drove around in that pile of junk all summer with smashed up tomatoes dried up all over it. Never had any problem with the paint but I am sure the paint in 1981 was much different.

I've seen it stain the paint - like some bird dooo will. It left the paint a lighter color and a bit rough in a spot.
And aluminum? LOL - my wife made a nice big lasagna and froze it, covered with aluminum foil. A month later there were all sorts of small holes in the foil. Yes, in the freezer!
Her lasagna ATE the foil.
