Im installing these king shocks but the upper hose seems to be at an extreme angle and the only way it seems I can fix it is to move the fitting on the shock to a flat position instead of at an angle but not sure if that would release all the gas. Any suggestions?

That looks like an o-ring boss fitting. If so, there is an o-ring under the jam nut. Could be possible to tweak it; however, the hose has a 3000 psi rating. There could be lot of pressure. I'd probably consult the manufacturer.
It is possible for pressurized fluid to be injected into your skin. Not a good deal.

It's probably only got 150psi in it.......If you are quick and careful, you should be able to rotate it without losing much more than a couple drops of oil. Only loosen the nut enough to turn the hose and snug it back up.
