So I recently picked up a used 2020 Jeep Gladiator Sport with a soft top around Christmas time in 2021. I have been very pleased over-all yet have experienced the not so wonderful sound of my 2nd gear popping out violently when going from 3rd to 2nd.
This issue only occurs 3rd to 2nd. My first thought was, hmmm, maybe the clutch is just "different" and I am not use to the feeling yet. It never does it when up-shifting into 2nd from 1st. RPM's don't matter honestly. If I go from 4th to 2nd for example it is just fine.
Brought it to the dealership. They said they could not recreate the issue and to call back in if it got worse. Well, worse it became and I brought it back in within a week. Service tech took it for a quick spin and came back saying he was able to recreate the issue. They would reach out to me with a ship date that day for a new transmission.
End of day I receive a call. The new transmission will be here in 2 to 3 weeks. So this was last week of April. they told me this information. They anticipate it will be here middle of May per Chrysler. I called Monday, the 9th, because my 2nd gear was getting worse, (i.e. grinding, etc), and they said it has be "tentatively" pushed to June 20th.
Is anyone else experiencing this delay in getting replacement parts or anything from Chrysler?
