I posted this on another forum but figure I'll get more hits here.
So I am in the process of purchasing a white Sport S manual transmission soft top that does not have the max tow package. I've been reading forum after forum and still in the dark. I'm looking to add bigger tires and keeping with the 17" rims. I will be changing from the chrome rims to all black. I do not plan on doing rock climbing, just you average mud trails. I'll probably say most of the time will be spent on highways with a little weekend fun. What size tires do you recommend?
I have read the tire width plays a factor hydroplaning so I am thinking 10.5". I will have a little one with me and we do get frequent rains. I was thinking 32" , preferably 33" all terrain tires vs mud tires?
235/85R17 = 32.7X9.3R17
255/75R17 = 32.1x10R17
275/70R17 = 32.2x10.8R17
285/70R17 = 32.7x11.2R17
255/80R17 = 33.1x10R17
285/75R17 = 33.8x11.2R17
295/70R17 = 33.3x11.6R17
I know it's a matter of opinion but what would you recommend and why? Also what brand tires do you recommend?
I do not plan on towing and if I do tow, it will be nothing crazy big. I also do not plan on lifting, taking off the air dam, or adding a leveling kit. I would like to keep it stock but with bigger tires and not have to worry about rubbing.
Thank you
