Sure the 4th of July is about BBQ's on the back patio, friends at the park, block parties and fireworks... but I have a ritual every Independence Day that helps remind me why we are celebrating... what is the true reason for the season... the real way behind the day...
I like to read the Declaration of Independence. Every word. Now, I have a small copy I like to keep around, but you can read the full copy here on the National Archives website.
