I need a bed cover for a trip and need a little expert help. I have a Sport S with no bed rail system. Which types of covers work without adding additional kits? Thanks Brent

Biggest advantage of the roll up is that it won't block your vision through the rear if you need to use the entire bed without the cover on (i.e. for taller big items). Another thing is if you want security on top of just protection from weather, I'd get a hard cover. There are roll up hard covers but they're kind of pricey. I went with a pretty cheap trifold hard cover off ebay and seems to be good so far. Haven't tested it out in the rain or car wash though. If your on a budget soft covers are gonna be way cheaper. I know the soft trifold tyger covers off Amazon have pretty decent reviews. Good luck!

Thanks looking at this one. I like Mopar but pricey. I will just use it for trips then take it off.

I have the Mopar Tri fold cover, even though it is expensive it is very secure and rugged.

I went with the hard tri fold from rugged ridge. It's got a linex feel to it and has held up great through car washes, rain storms, and blizzard like conditions. It also comes with all the parts to mount without the bed rails. Only down sides are that it blocks your vision when you need the full bed and it cant be used with a bed rack.

Is it made out of the same material as the softtop? And does it require a rail system in the bed?

I see you went with the Gator one. Tell us how it goes!

I have that Tyger one. I left a review on the Amazon page with plenty of pictures. I couldn't be happier. I was honestly expecting it to have some problems, not being super custom or anything, but I have had no issues at all (and no shifting or sliding at highway speeds). I didn't have any kind of rail system, and I didn't do any drilling or modification at all. I just installed it with plastic clamps, taking care to only clamp it with soft pads in contact with the metal (and avoiding the plastic parts on my own bed). Everything worked perfectly. Sometimes, things just work the way they are advertised, and that surprises me.

I will report when it arrives. Glad to hear the Tyger works well.

I got the Tyger hard tri-fold cover and it works well. It clamps to the bed top rail, and has adapters if you have the factory rail system option.

I just got the Gator Tri-fold cover, it was COVID delayed. I’m very impressed. It took all of about 5min to install from box to truck. No tools needed and perfect fit. It does come with a rubber seal strip but it fits tight so I’m going without it.
I would highly recommend Gator.

Very nice. It is impressively flat. My Tyger one shows bumps in it where the supports are.

My Gator cover is great. I particularly like that the front and back clamps are built into the supports. I run my dog every day and the tri-fold is really nice and quick. The tailgate clamps are spring loaded so it is very handy to fold up and down. They have a great warranty also.
