You’re much more likely to high center than ever drag your hitch enough to matter. I didn’t drag mine and if I did it was coming off a ledge descending, so no threat of getting hung up, if that’s what you’re worried about.
Black paint is easy to touch up.
We wheel with another stock gladiator rubicon and she never mentioned dragging hers. There are plenty of easy trails out there and usually a way to bypass hard stuff.
