One Hooke Road customer used bug remover on the front bumper to help get some bugs off and it destroyed the finish.
And the bumper is now like this:
Tips to fix the issue:
The paint can never be restored to its original factory condition once damaged.
1. Mild cleaning (neutral car wash soap)
Mix warm water with neutral car wash soap, then gently wipe the bumper. Neutral car wash soap is generally mild on painted surfaces and can remove most pesticide residue.
2. Metal-specific cleaner
For metal bumpers, use a metal surface cleaner to remove pesticide stains.
3. Alcohol cleaning (use with caution)
If the alcohol concentration is low (e.g., 70%), gently wiping with a soft cloth may remove some pesticide residue, but avoid prolonged rubbing.
