Installed Go Rhino Dominator D6 Sliders/steps plus Optional Drop Steps - feedback & review

I just wanted to post a quick writeup on the GoRhino Dominator D6 Sliders/Steps along with the optional drop steps. I thought I didn't want anything that hung down even though I don't do any rock crawling or heavy offroading. They were too high for my daughter and wife to use as they are basically level with the bottom of the door sill. I'm 6ft tall and it was basically pointless to have, even with the 2" AEV spacer lift. I saw these optional drop steps made for the D6 steps and gave them a try. They definitely help and if I didn't get the main steps for such a good deal, about $350, I would have just purchased something else. As the optional steps are only sold in pairs, I had to purchase 2 sets. I originally purchased 2 open box sets from ebay for about $130 each, but one order was something completely different which was an error on the sellers part. I ended up going to GoRhino for the 2nd set I still needed on sale for $160. All in, the main steps ($350) and 2 sets of the optional steps ($290) = $630. Probably still pricey but it is what it is.

They are really nice but the hardware for the optional steps are complete garbage. The nuts and bolts somehow get cross threaded very easily. I had to cut 2 off and purchase stainless still hardware from the local hardware store. If anyone buys the steps, I highly recommend you replace all the nuts and bolts for the optional steps with stainless steel pieces. Hope this helps as I haven't really seen any writeups on these.
