Hello Jeep Family,
My name is Drew and I'm the owner of NXTGEN Automotive.
How it all started: I am a lifelong car nut, who loves American trucks and German cars. Many years ago I wanted a product that simply did not exist for what was my first BMW. I figured I was not the only person who wanted it, so I started designing and building it. 1 year later and about $15,000 in development and tooling costs later, the product was created.
At that point, I could either sell them on the side, or I had the world's most expensive set of custom blind spot mirrors for a fairly cheap BMW 3 series
.
It turns out people did want them and today we make very high quality custom fit models for over 100's of makes, models and trims.
The Jeep journey started a few years back when a number of Jeep owners reached out and requested a better quality stick-on blind spot mirror vs the various low quality universal options. As we started the process, I was spending more and more time around Jeep forums, as well as Wranglers and Gladiators. I sold our family/ business Ram and X5 vehicles and was all in on Jeeps besides my highly modified BMWs.
Despite making custom fit mirrors for most makes and models, our Jeep F0600 Wrangler and Gladiator model is the best seller globally and our family loves being a part of the Jeep Community.
We are sincerely appreciative for the many thousands of Jeep users who already use our products. We have never done any type of formal advertising before, it has always been word of mouth and happy customers sharing with others. We have some new Wrangler and Gladiator products we've been working on that will launch later in the summer, so the time seemed right to be able to engage more with the community this way. We are now on both this site and the JL Wrangler Forum.
Here are our Wrangler and Gladiator Blind Spot mirrors, which can custom fit on the top or bottom based on preference and if you have blind spot monitors or not.
Our mirrors can be found on our direct website here: NXTGEN Automotive Site as well as on Amazon Prime here: Extended View Jeep Mirrors on Amazon
Another product we have been working on for the last 6.5 months is a set of 2 or 4 steps that will easily attach and remove from the OEM rock slider rails. Similar to the mirrors many years ago, after looking around, there simply is not a product exactly like we'd like on our own personal vehicles.
We started with a very large scale design so we could more easily refine all of the mechanical and machined parts, testing many revisions via 3D printing. This has been a complex and costly project, but we are very excited to start making a final production prototype soon.
Here is a sneak peak of what is to come later in the summer. Please keep in mind, the original steel prototype is a very rough build and about twice the size of the final unit. We hope this will be a welcomed option for many looking to add steps to the OEM rails without having to remove them or get rid of them, yet can easily remove for more clearance when off roading
