I bought Tufskin matte black overlays to replace the bright aluminum currently on my Gladiator. I noticed that when positioning the overlays on the top of the aluminum badging that the bright aluminum still shows below the edges of the overlay. I noticed that each letter of the OEM badge sits on top of a matte black base. I'm wondering if the aluminum only can be removed from the base and thus solve my problem? Any experience with this or suggestions?
