First time post here. I am planning on leasing a gladiator sport s with max tow, 7 in radio group, black hard top, and a few other options. The website builder has put it at 45,260, and Im looking at leasing it. The estimated lease price is 353. For anyone that leased their gladiator, what was the difference between what the website estimated your lease at, and what was your actual payments. If anyone can give me an idea on what I should actually expect, I will be putting 5,000,down. Zip code is 70001,i plan doing 36 months, 15,000 miles. Thank you in advance!!

Did you include tax? Whatever the sales tax percentage is where you are will most likely be added to the payment. I would lease at 10,000 miles. All you are doing with 15,000 is prepaying for something you might not use. Typically the lease adder for the additional miles is the same rate as what you’ll pay for overage.

So, these obviously won’t be your numbers but I am working a deal on a similar spec sport S at the moment. MSRP of $46,900 and sale price of $42,000 with a little more room to go. But if I were to accept this deal, my lease in PA would be $401 a month pretax (437 w/ tax) with $1,100 in fees paid up front and zero money down.

If I were you and put down $5,000 (4K down and 1k in fees) the payment would be $290 a month pre tax (316 /tax)

There are some huge differences though. PA has a tax on 9% and is levied on the monthly payment. If you’re in Texas, it’s on the price of the entire vehicle. So your mileage may vary. But in the end. I personally wouldn’t drop 5k down to save $90 a month.

Hope this rough math helps lol

Please don't put $5k down on a lease; just puts you in a bad position if something were to happen to the vehicle after you drove off the lot. Other than paying taxes or misc. fees, you generally should put nothing down on a lease.

What about trading in with negative equity? And currently dealer has $149 a month with 5k down lease special. Anyone else concerned they are struggling to move these off the lot? Did they overprice and overestimate the demand?

If you have 5k to put down, you can pay off your negative equity. If you have more than 5k in negative equity, you shouldn’t be looking to get into another vehicle.

Go to Leasehackr.com and play with the calculator. Do your research on residual value and money factor (interest rate divided by 2400). This will give you a better idea if the lease you are looking at is a good deal or not. Also search for the thread on gladiator leasing. Lots of good info there too.
