I live in Buffalo NY and there seems to be a shortage of specialized shops that will install a compatible rack system on my 2021 gladiator Rubicon w/ a Diamondback HD tonneau cover. I want to add a bed rack, rooftop tent and awning.
Can anyone recommend a Jeep specific shop anywhere within reasonable driving distance (NY or PA)? I attached a pic of the tonneau cover and have done the research on compatible racks. Just don't feel comfortable installing on my own. Any advice/references would be greatly appreciated.

Have you ever used a RTT? I have, and I own dogs as it appears that you do, I found that the tent set up is very limited as to who actually likes them. It’s nearly impossible to get the dogs up there (or down!) not to mention the overnight bathroom breaks. Climbing up or down the ladder in bare feet or even sandals is treacherous at best. Plus, once you set up camp, you can’t drive anywhere unless you completely break it down again. No fun at all. And finally, once you put the tent on the Diamondback, you defeat the whole purpose of the rack itself. My solution was to get a small offroad capable trailer, since most real world trips are not on the Rubicon or Moab. I have gone with the Jumping Jack 6X8 trailer since 2009 and it pairs perfectly with the ‘22 gladiator and the Diamondback. Just my two cents. Full disclosure, I just sold the Gladiator and went with a 4Runner TRD OffRoad Premium and now I can carry the grandkids and the dogs in comfort and we all fit in the JJ trailer. At any rate, this rambling story is just to say, “think about your decision before jumping in.” You might save a bunch of time and money.

I'll have to take a look at those trailers. And yes it's different when you have a dog and an rtt. I actually got my dog used to sleeping in the back seat once I go up into the tent so it's worked out ok. I'm not sure I want to sacrifice seeing out of my back window anymore. Might look at the trailers.

And you can carry TONS of stuff on top of the JJ trailer. TWO ATV’s or one Side by Side or bikes and kayaks like I do. Along with ice chests and misc other stuff. Happy hunting.
