Driver rear seat. I have a rear seat delete so it is under the portion behind the driver seat. There are some brackets welded to the tub that something was mounted to origianlly; I can't remember but the brackets may have been for the plastic under seat storage or it may have been for the little box meant to hold hardtop bolts and such when it is removed. I used these because just bolting through the tub means someone can manipulate the fasteners from under the vehicle and possibly get them loose enough to rib the gun safe out.

Now I get it. It's the rear seat delete. I thought there was some hidden compartment I didn't know about. ?

For about the price of a safe
an inexpensive Kel-Tec PF9 and a spare mag
will fit in the upper compartment of the OE glove box.
I separated the key from the fob
so I could hand off the fob to a valet or mechanic.

If you do not like the Kel-tec PF-9,
there is a dandy comparator I created
that lists many other handguns that should fit
the upper compartment of the center console.

These handguns fit a box 5.9 by 4.3 inches.
A few are obviously incorrect or incomplete
but most seem to be as small or smaller than a PF-9.

Sound off if you have one of these firearms
and whether it fits or not.

I use the https://vaulteksafe.com/products/vaultek-view-all-20-series/ cabled in behind the locking seat back. Much more secure than the center console safes I’ve seen.
