So I’ve had some MetalCloak 3.5” springs (w/spring pads and upper isolator pads) sitting in the garage for awhile. Didn’t know at the time but now MC is saying their springs do not work with the Mojave. My question is has anyone tired installing this setup since MC started saying they won’t work on the Mojave?

I don’t mind to be the test subject, but figured I’d ask if anyone has tried before tearing into it.

Hopefully it works…. If not, guess I’ll have some springs for sale. ?

They probably won't ork because the stock shocks will top out.

If you are willing to do the geometry correction and buy new shocks, there's no reason why it shouldn't work.

But then you pissed away a bunch of money on the Mojave suspension and might have been better off with an Overland with a limited slip.

MetalCloak and others sell Mojave shock extensions to retain the factory fox shocks when installing taller springs.

That aside I believe I have answered my own question. The MC springs are made to work with their upper coil isolator pads, not the factor upper isolator. It looks like the opening in the MC upper isolator will not fit over the Mojave’s hydraulic bump-stop.

I’m emailing MC to confirm this is the reason.

I would ask them why they don't work. If it's because the springs have too much down range in them for the Mojave shocks you might be able to solve that with a limiting strap.

The MetalCloak springs have more articulation than most others.

EDIT - just saw your reply above. Looks like that may not be the (sole) problem.
