When I went to get my new drivers license I brought my DD214. They add veteran to it. Now I don’t have to carry a DD214.

You can get a VIC from the VA. Upload a DL and a pic for the card and they’ll mail you a VIC.

All my local stores want a Veteran ID. My local VA hospital stopped issuing IDs the instant the Pandemic broke out, so I haven't been able to get one. Really don't want to carry around my DD-214.

I just used my idMe account to get a VIC a few minutes ago. I got the email confirmation when I finished it.

Sorry to revive and old thread, but just came across it. If you sign up with GovX ID, many online companies use this to verify your military/veteran status. As a veteran, I had to submit a PDF copy of my DD214, separation from active duty form. I just did a google search of "govx jeep" and found some familiar companies include: Apex AutoLYNX, DiamonBack Covers, Bestop, Rhino-Rack, Discount Tire, DV8 Offroad, Bulletpoint Solutions, Pedal Commander, Hothead Headliners, Motobilt Products and more. A common discount is 10%, but some like Discount Tires are 5%, probably due to their already discounted prices. Other products can be purchased at various discounts directly on the GovX website as opposed to the vendor's website.

Those eligible for GovX discounts include:
• Current & former U.S. military
• Military spouses & dependents
• First responders including law enforcement, fire, and EMS

Uh no? You have to be enrolled in VA Healthcare to get one. And they can't just not issue them. They are used to get prescriptions
