Mopar roll up tonneau cover

Anyone buy a Mopar roll up tonneau cover lately? I heard that they switched from the black twill to the old sailcloth vinyl material? Can anyone confirm??? I had a 2021 with the updated mounts and it was black twill, this was on my 2021 Gladiator … I just bought a 2023 Far Out without the roll up tonneau and was going to buy one from Mopar online, but I saw that they might be sail cloth or vinyl, so this gave me pause …

I recently purchased a 2024 tonneau cover for my 2021. I bought it sight unseen and I was a little disappointed. But I'm also over it as I feel this new material is more robust.

I would not call it sail cloth , but its not twill either. It's almost like a mix of the two. The underside matches the twill underside but the surface is almost like a coated twill. I have a twill top and it does not match the top but it also does not match the sail cloth either.

Did you order? I previously had a 2021 Gladiator with the premium soft top and ordered the roll up cover and it matched perfectly. Ordered a 2023 in December with the roll up tonneau and the premium soft top from the factory and it doesn't match at all. I so wish I had kept the one off my '21. They said they were changed due to tons of warranty claims because of stretching fabric and water pooling. I would take a little stretching to have them match Just wondered if that item number turned out to be the original twill or the new hybrid material.

Yep! Bought a brand new tonneau from BAM, I think it was manufactured April of this year, and it was the premium material that matches perfectly to my Mopar Sunrider … it’s all the same black twill. I have no idea what’s going on with that cheaper material … sucks we have to dodge these type of bullets of inferior quality parts.

Awesome . Thanks . I'll probably order one as well. This " better" tonneau is crap and already had it replaced twice under warranty for stretching along the sides and only 8 months in.

I have no idea what’s going on with that cheaper material … sucks we have to dodge these type of bullets of inferior quality parts.

The Granite Crystal is the one where I ordered it separately in 2021 from Just for Jeeps and it matched perfectly.
When i ordered the Hydro Blue and added the roll up top in the build it is the new hybrid twill that is slick more like vinyl and looks like shit against the premium top.

Odd … I special ordered my 80th anniversary fully loaded diesel gladiator with the tonneau and it was the twill material, not the vinyl stuff… my 2023 wears the the I bought from BAM and they’re the same. Odd that all these differences are out there and inconsistent… wonder if it was an oops on the suppliers part. If mine was vinyl I’d make a stink about it
