I saw a video where a guy installed a cheap module that detects motion and proximity on his JK for when the doors and roof are off. I want to do this on the JT. I bought the module and will have the interior torn out soon when I install my Armorlite floor, so I would like to try to install the module at that time. I'm thinking the best way to accomplish this is to tap into the lock wire for the tailgate to provide the "arm" signal to the module. The tailgate lock is the only one that will always be active even when the doors are removed. Does anyone know, once I have the seats and carpet removed, what is the location and/or color of the wire I am looking for? Has anyone attempted a similar install? Any advice would be appreciated.
