Hello all. New member here. I’m in Canada and currently looking for a diesel. I keep seeing the stop sale on diesels talked about, but they are still selling here in Canada.
I am specifically looking for a white or sting grey rubi, with the cold weather group, and either a 22 or 23. I have found a couple, but pretty far away. I’m not opposed to used as well if anyone has one. I’m in Manitoba, and have found one in Saskatoon, but says it’s in transit. I’m skeptical about that, and thinking it’s on hold somewhere because of the pumps. I talked to my dealer about the farout edition, and she had no idea what I was talking about.
Also, if the order sheet says dark saddle/black interior, does that mean the tan leather seats? Cause that would be good if they were.
anyway, glad to be here. I’m currently trying to sell my 21 F150 for this. And my wife drives a 22 JLU Sahara.
thanks all
Clarence

It's a little bit of a gamble to pick up a diesel while they still haven't gotten the fix readily available but it's not exactly Russian roulette either.

If you do get one I couldn't more strongly recommend getting the EcoDiesel owners of Canada stage 2 tune and DEF/ DPF/ EGR delete. Your EcoDiesel will thank you.

As far as the brown leather over black, you get tan seats, and tan stitching on the door panels, shifter boots, console, steering wheel, e-brake handle, and dash pad.
The black leather comes with red stitching on those items which are all black leather.

I looked at the far out and it seems to me an expensive sticker package, but if that's what you want, more power to you.

I came from an 06 f150 that I drove for 15 years and put 300,000 miles on. Was going to replace it with a ram but fell in love with the Gladiator and I'm loving every minute of it!

Good luck!

Thanks for the reply.
yeah I ordered my F150 just how I wanted it. And I love it. A lot. And it kills me to see it go. But the company my wife works for will pay a large portion of a payment for a jeep. Hence why she drives one. So it’s a financial no brainer for me. We traded a Lincoln Navigator for her JLU. I honestly thought she would go for a SRT grand, but she fell in love with the Sahara. It came with both tops, and her and the kids love having the soft top down. I haven’t done a lot to it, cause she wants to “keep it her little cute jeep”! ?
So, if I’m going to give up my truck I ordered my way, I want certain things in a new gladiator. I am by no means new to diesels. I’ve only owned superdutys before this F150, and modified some. Pretty heavily. And kept others almost stock. I understand the risk with the pump. Here’s hoping they come out with something soon, and until then, I’ll add the pre-requisite fuel additive like others have. The trouble I’m having though is finding one.
again, thanks for the welcome. I hope to have one here shortly, and then I’m sure I won’t be able to leave this one alone either. I do have some simple things I’d like to do, to start with. Here is hers, hence why I wanted a sting grey.

What's her Jeep's name?

The EcoD is no Cummins or Powerstroke but does respond to a bit of tuning.
TBH, I love mine, but to order a new one I'd go gas and get full time 4wd which isn't available in the diesel in the States. (Overseas, yes. ?)
The mileage isn't what was advertised (consistently 4-5 ish mpgs below and that's natl avg) and the power isn't consistent with he factory torque management, and the turbo lag/ surge plays hell sometimes when finessing through obstacles.

The name of the company is on the hood. It’s a requirement for the financial part.
Here is how I was thinking I wanted it to look. Apologies if this is someone’s JT on the forum. I got it from google images.

here are the options of one I’m trying to get. But it says it’s in transit. So maybe that means on hold somewhere? Also, have a look at the seats. Am I reading it right that it is in fact the tan seats?
thanks

Tan seats.
That's a nice Jeep.
I would recommend getting LEDs for it. I'm in Florida and love my cold weather package!

Big time vote for the LED’s. The wife’s came with halogens, and I tried the LED bulb replacement for a bit, then went for the rough country LED’s. WAY better. I think I will go with the Diode Dynamics elite max this time. Give them a try.
Thanks for the confirmation on the seats. The wife and I do love that colour.

I was convinced to order black instead of tan and resented it for over a year until just recently got someone who wanted black to switch with. Very happy now!

Hello again all. I’m at a crossroads here on which gladiator to get. Both trucks are almost identical, only thing is one is a diesel, for 79,000 and the other is a gas for 69,000. Both are white, both have tan leather and cold weather packages. Both prices are what is listed, no negotiating yet. Does anyone in Canada have a heads up at all about incentives coming in September? I want the diesel, and it would make my decision easier if the prices were closer with incentives or anything.
thanks
Clarence

Just as an update. The dealer is not really willing to deal at all. They’ve thrown the whole “ it’s rare to have a diesel, and they are not making them anymore. “
So either I buy this one at full price, look for a used one, or buy a gasser. This dealer is 6 hours away, and in the last couple days I tried to order one from the dealer we bought our wrangler from. But they are saying they are worried it won’t get built, and I will have missed out on the one I’ve been dealing on. Plus throw in this whole strike thing, I think I have no choice but to bite the bullet and get the one I really want. This diesel. Just hurts to pay full retail this late in the year.

I think there's too many options to allow a dealer to bully you, but it's your money.

Normally I would agree. But there are only a handful of diesel gladiators across Canada. Then it becomes even less with the colour and options I want. And like we said above, you option the tan seats, and it pretty much dwindles down to one in Canada like that. I could also hold out and wait to stumble upon a used one like I want. But a person never knows when that might be.
