We wanted to share something new we just dropped at ORACLE Lighting — the Vega 7 Series LED Pods, officially unveiled at this year’s SEMA Show. We designed these to compete with (and honestly outperform) some of the biggest names out there, while keeping the price point way more reasonable. They come in two setups: LED+LED and LED+Laser, and both absolutely rip in terms of light output.

The LED+Laser version clocks in at 676,900 candela with a projection distance of over 2,700 feet — so yeah, it’s bright. Like “two football fields past where your current lights stop” bright. One of the coolest parts about the Vega 7s is the Active Cooling System — a small built-in fan circulates air through the rear fins to keep temps stable even during long use. That means no thermal dimming and way longer LED life. We also made these super versatile to mount anywhere. The beam pattern is horizontally symmetrical, so you can flip them upside down or right side up without changing the beam angle. They also come with snap-on blackout covers (included free), and optional amber or yellow lenses for fog/snow setups.

If you’re into details: they’re IP69K rated, run OSRAM BOOST-HX chips, and use Deutsch DT connectors. Basically — no weak points.

Would love to hear what you guys think!

A Bronco owner recently did a full, real-world comparison between Baja Designs LP6s and ORACLE Vega 7s — same vehicle, same conditions, same wiring logic, same abuse. No fluff, no marketing copy, just actual use on rough roads, long drives, heat testing, and honest pros/cons.

TL;DR:
He’s pulling the LP6s and running a second set of Vega 7s.

What makes this one worth your time:
  • Direct side-by-side testing (not spec sheet racing)
  • Heat management data (including condenser impact)
  • Beam pattern and eye-fatigue observations
  • Honest commentary on aesthetics, branding, and install quirks
If you’re cross-shopping or just enjoy a brutally honest write-up, it’s a solid read: https://www.oraclelights.com/blogs/news/customer-review-baja-designs-lp6-vs-oracle-lighting-vega-7-spotlights

Curious what others here think — especially anyone who’s run LP6s, OnX6s, or other high-output pods long term!

Quick update for anyone following along 👋

That same Bronco owner who did the original LP6 vs Vega 7 side-by-side just posted a long-term follow-up after continuing to run the Vega 7s daily — and after upsizing to four pods up front (2 LED+LED, 2 LED+Laser). He basically turned it into a running journal instead of a one-time comparison. Some highlights:
  • Added two more Vega 7s to increase the sample size
  • Reworked wiring and relays so all four run together
  • Checked fan operation after extended exposure to dust and heat (still spinning fine)
  • Continued temp testing with all four running in a tighter grille space
  • Real-world feedback on laser placement, ditch lighting, and on-road usability
  • Honest take that two pods are more than enough functionally… four just looks cooler 😅

If you read the first comparison, this one’s worth a look too: https://www.oraclelights.com/blogs/news/moar-brighterer-long-term-vega7-journal-customer-review

And for anyone new to the thread, the Vega 7 product page is here: https://www.oraclelights.com/products/vega7

We just published a new deep dive breaking down independent testing results on the ORACLE VEGA 7 auxiliary lights, including lux output, long-distance visibility, fog performance, and laser functionality.

A few highlights from the testing:
• 17,800 Lux peak intensity
• 400+ yard visibility
• Dedicated laser mode for fog/dust conditions
• Largest center hotspot in testing

Interesting read if you’re comparing higher-end off-road lighting options or trying to understand beam performance beyond marketing specs. Full breakdown here: https://www.oraclelights.com/blogs/latest-news-updates/oracle-vega-7-why-independent-testing-proves-it-s-the-king-of-the-trail
