I recently did some updates to my front-end lighting and though I would share my experience. I ran into some issues during the installation and found others that had similar issues, but don't know that I ever saw a clear resolution to the issues I was having. And unfortunately I'm not sure how helpful my experience will be as I'm not sure of the exact steps that corrected my problems.

There are only 3 things that I did that may have worked, so maybe this is worth the read?

Oculus Bi-LED Projector Headlights, Heated (5839-111)

- Very straight forward replacement.
- I ran the halo harness to F52 as instructed, therefore the halos are always on once the car is started
- Everything works as expected

LED Fog Lights, White Halo (5846-001)

- I have an aftermarket bumper, so I had to use some self-tapping screws to match the Oracle mounting points.
- Fog lights come on when I press the factory fog light switch.
- Halos do not come on with the DRLs as I thought they would
- Oracle support said they only come on when the headlight switch is set to PARKING LIGHTS.
- I guess I don't understand the purpose of the Halo light ring on the fog lights then...
- I moved on, as I only really care that the fog lights work

DRL LED Upgrade Bulbs (5011-001)

- These are simple replacements, but they didn't behave as expected.
- Now, I could be wrong, but I thought the DRLs came on when the vehicle was started and the light switch was in "AUTO".
- the new LEDs did not come on in AUTO or HEADLIGHT mode, so I reversed the bulbs with no change.
- Next, I went into the Tazer JL Mini menu and changed the headlights to LED.
- Now the DRLs only came on with the headlights (via the light sensor in AUTO or manually putting it in HEADLIGHT).
* This was also the case if I was in PARK or DRIVE
- reversed the bulbs and had no DRLs in either AUTO or HEADLIGHT. At this point, I have only tested in PARK.
- Put the inner fender liner back and decided to contact Oracle support. Note that they are super quick to respond.
- They confirmed that I did everything right, but suggested I reversed the bulbs again.
- Before I could get back to it, I noticed the DRLs were on when I was in DRIVE and AUTO.
- I covered the light sensor so the headlights would come on and the DRLs went off as expected.
- Put the switch in HEADLIGHT mode and the DRLs go off as expected.
- At this point, the DRLs aren't on when in PARK, but they behave correctly in DRIVE, so I'm leaving as is.
* I have not confirmed if the DRLs are supposed to be on when in PARK.
- And unfortunately, I'm not sure what the fix was.
* Switch the programming to LED?
* Reversing the bulb orientation?
* Go through a couple of sleep cycles?
* All of the above?

Front Turn Signal LED Upgrade Bulb (5011-005)

- Simple bulb swap
- Working as expected

LED Front Side-Markers (5853-504)

- These came on as expected. Car in PARK, and AUTO
- After the Tazer programing of the headlights, the side-marker lights were no longer illuminated in PARK.
- They do illuminate when the car is placed in DRIVE, similar to the DRL behavior listed above

Pre-Runner Style Grill Lights (5889-005-T)

- I tapped these into the factory harness (I can't recall now if the instructions say DRL or Side-Marker harness)
- they never illuminated in any situation.
- Oracle support suggested making sure the tap connectors were solidly biting the factory wire.
- I did confirm and still no luck
- I decided to move them and tap them into the Oracle Headlight, Halo wiring that goes to fuse F52 as I would like them to always be on.
- Unlike the headlight halo rings, the pre-runner lights do not come on when the vehicle is started? Weird since they should get power once the car is started...
- however, they do come on once the car is placed into DRIVE.
- They remain on when the headlights are activated by the sensor or if placed manually in HEADLIGHT mode.

Rear Bumper LED Reverse Lights (5878-504)

- I purchased the additional wiring adapter to eliminate using the wire taps that come with the kit
- Simple plug-n-play install where the factory reflectors are located.
- working as expected

Ok, so what is the take-away from my experience?

- I'm happy with the lights and like having them match from an illumination and color perspective.

- Since the Halo part of the fog light doesn't work as a DRL like I expected, it wasn't necessary to replace them. I rarely use the fog lights, so the matching light/color of the main bulb is not important to me. To be fair to Oracle, I did not look into the description of the fog lights, so it is not their fault that I "assumed" the lights would work the same as the headlights.

- Instead of replacing the DRLs with the Oracle LED bulbs, I would probably try the SYLVANIA 7443A "Super Bright LED" bulbs that others say work out of the gate. However, if you go with the Oracle bulbs, try a couple of sleep cycles to see if you get the expected behavior. I have no idea if using the Tazer, or having the dealership, program the headlights to LED is helpful. However, if the brightness/color was noticeably different, I would have switched to the Oracle LEDs because it would nag at me.

Good luck!
