4wd shifter keeps slipping out of 2wd

not sure how to word this, but I'm having problems driving down the road and it keeps trying to slip out of 2wd down into 4wd. I can barely push the shifter back up and it's fine again. I can't find anything loose but it's getting aggravating. has anyone have any solutions

Check for binding. Get underneath and have someone move the shifter around.
