Hopefully you didn't buy the open box one. I bought that one originally, then they waited over 3 weeks to tell me it was out of stock and that I would have to pay the full price for a new one. I wasn't happy about that and originally cancelled my order, but I went back a few days and bought it anyways. It ended up arriving in about a week even though they said it would take 3+ weeks.

Haven't gotten around to getting one yet, I've only had it installed for 2 days and I'm too busy playing with it. If BillFraley has any suggestions I'm open to them.

Yeah, I'm going to do that and see what they say. Here's a question for you, because I can't figure it out. I'm trying to permanently change away from the default launcher. I can add a new launcher, but every time I hit the home button it goes back to the stock screen. Have you figured out how to this?

Attached is what the stock screen looks like right now (changed the background and vehicle to a gladiator) and what I want to change it to.

I guess the most important thing is I just want to get rid of the gauge widgets, so if I can't change the launcher, did you find any way to get rid of those?

Somewhere in the settings is a way to make the new launcher ur default so it always starts up with it. Currently out of town so I can't provide any further guidance atm.

I found it, thank you. You have to actually go into the launcher3 app settings to change it.

Hey all, random question. I’ve been eyeing this thread for a little while now and I’m considering this upgrade from my 7” radio. How’s the backup camera? Does it show on the whole screen? Or is it just a tiny window on the screen like some of the radios I’ve seen?

ok, I like that. How did you remove the instrument cluster? I can't figure out a way to get that off my screen.

For whatever reason, my unit didn’t have that UI. You can go into the factory settings menu and check which UI you are using. On my unit it is called UI06. The passcode is 3368

Better than non-Alpine for sure. But with an external amp, subs and speaker upgrades there is no comparison.

I have the Alpine but did add one of the Kicker powered 10” to complement the 8” sub.
