So much about the situation probably depends on your own specifics. I personally wouldn't be too keen on a brand new, nearly 2 year old vehicle--even at a big discount--because it has been sitting out in the elements that entire time, even if it's not driven in them. That's a good amount of wear and tear on the paint and external panels that would drive me nuts, but I garage my cars and worry about things like that. Others probably don't mind as much--especially if the vehicle isn't going to be garaged after purchase.

I basically just done that. Just bought a nearly brand new 2020 Overland with everything I wanted had I had it built. Couldn’t pass on it because of this.
mine technically had 1 owner (as a company vehicle) but had 2k on it. Other used ones I seen had way more for same price or even higher. Only difference buying new or even another used one, for me would have been waiting, paying slightly more (for new) just to knock off 2k miles or hoping I’d find another used with low miles (probably not as low) and the odds of it having everything I wanted which was slim to none.

I’d say go for it. Not much has/will change for newer models.

I sold my Chevy Colorado to Givemethevin.com! I received quotes from Carvana, Vroom and Carmax. Givemethevin.com was the best deal! Easy to deal with and great communication! Painless process!

Update: I traded in my 2013 JKU Sport and purchased the new 2020 JTR! Billet Silver with only a couple of options (Automatic, Safety Group, LED Group, Radio Group, Keyless Entry). We already have 500 miles on it in just a couple of days. A much better on road ride then my lifted JKU. I was able to get more for my trade than I was offered from VROOM, etc and I picked up the jeep for a bit more that 15% under invoice. Thank you to everyone one this forum for making it so easy to plan ahead using the pricing data!
