Chasing an idea that I can see good and bad for, but am now just really curious about. I own a '21 JLU and now a '24 JT. I know you can purchase replacement keys and program the vehicle to accept them, would it then also be possible to program 1 key to work as a FOB for 2 different Jeeps?

Now I know there are 2 immediate concerns, 1 of course is the if you lose the key you could have both vehicles stolen. The other of course that remote start would mean both vehicles would simultaneously start, mostly only an at home driveway problem. The convienence if having a single FOB/Key Chain would be great though.

Thoughts?

If battery dies you have to have a key to unlock door and start Jeep bye touching key fob to start button.
