Quake QTE960 headlights

Hello all. New 2022 Gladiator Rubicon owner here. I bought a set of Quake QTE960 LED lights with white and amber halos. Everything works perfectly except the halos do not come on when the headlight knob is set to AUTO. If I set it manually to DRL they come on. The Quake lights have a pre-wired in-line harness that just sits between the new headlight and the stock connector with the Red and Yellow wires already there and spliced.

I even swapped the red and yellow, causing my halo to be amber instead of white just to make sure I am getting the signal and power from the fender.

I have gone into UCONNECT>Settings>Lights and both enabled and disabled Daytime Running Lights in there to no avail. Any ideas?

not sure how to properly fix your problem but wire the DRLs with a fuse tap to fuse 52 (cigarette lighter) which is only on when the jeep is running. Is that possible with these headlights?
