I use a tailgate pad to carry bikes in the bed of my Gladiator, and am considering a roll up tonneau cover. I'm pretty sure that the tonneau will not latch when the tailgate pad is on, so I am wondering if it is safe to drive with the roll up cover 90% deployed, but not latched. I have seen only one video of the Bestop EZ Roll installation where the video mentions the capability to leave the last section of the tonneau open, and there is a strap and snap that holds it in place (at about the 4 minute mark of this video: Jeep Gladiator Install | Bestop Tonneau Cover )
However, that is the ONLY mention of this feature, so I am wondering if this was just a prototype of the cover used in the video. Does anyone who has a Bestop EZ Roll tonneau cover know if this feature exists? Thanks!
