Is it normal to have to tighten control arms and links more than twice within under a year on a lift? After I had my lift installed at the shop I was getting bad rattling in the back going over bumps so I took it back and they tightened everything up and it was fine for like 3 months and now all the sudden the rattling is back. I did get rear-ended a couple of months ago and needed a new bedside panel, bumper and tailgate. I guess that could be the cause but wouldn't I of noticed that right away ?

Yup. You likely will have stuff loosen but if the properly torque and use lock tite that should help. Helps to learn to do the work yourself and jump under every once in a while.
