Rear entertainment

Has anyone come up with rear entertainment ideas (screens, tablet holder etc) for the rear for the kids? I know with long trips they would like something. We just got my wife a loaded VW and rear DVD players are a thing of the past.

I haven't used this in my JT yet since I haven't taken that long of a trip but I know this will work been a good setup for the nintendo switch

Plugged into any usb port for power. HDMI to the switch dock

Monitor is in some old iPad holder from 2014 that attatches to the passenger side head rest.

A USB-C PD 12volt adapter to run the switch (mine is 45w to make sure I have more than enough power) The JT has crap USB-C ports that wont work

Nintendo switch is used in dock or with a compatible USB-C hub off amazaon (highly recomended to get the hub the dock is sensitive in the car at times)


What is nice about this setup is you can swap the switch out for a laptop running a movie, Almost everything out for a tablet running netflix or local storage.

For long trips my daughter has a basic Amazon fire tablet, with movies loaded on it through Disney and vudu. And I use this mount off Amazon to hold it off the headrest. Then I just pipe audio through the speakers with Bluetooth. That way I can still use CarPlay for navigation and calls.

This setup looks nice, my younger child likes pulling the headrest mount of the backseat then wants to cry cause he dropped the tablet. They have been sold out for a minute though
