Has anyone heard of or made something to hold the rear hardtop in the truck bed?

It doesn't really fit "in" the bed. Put the back bottom of the hardtop against one wheel well of the bed, going front-to-rear in the bed. The wings of the top which are used to bolt it down will rest on top of the rail on the other bed side.

I’m just thinking out loud here, but that would be pretty cool if you could throw it in the bed in case you needed it. I’m sure it would look ridiculous, but if there was a way to mount it backward on the bed rails. Maybe some quick disconnects that would work in place of all the bolts so it could be re installed quicker. Just thinking if you went on a road trip.

Or just ignore my incoherent rambling. At no point did I come close to a rational thought. Everyone is now dumber.

Why can't you just roll it over backwards so the roof of the hardtop is sitting on the bed rails? It may not be very stable, but you could strap it to the bed. Maybe it would work better if you put a roof rack on it? Maybe you could get the roof rack type rails that connect to the trail rails and set the hardtop on those and strap it down? I don't know, I've never taken the top off.
