Hello, new overland owner here.
I have a fishing spot I like to go to that requires a couple of low water bridge crossings. One of those requires fording up a creek a fair way. While it’s not especially deep, it is rutted out pretty bad in spots and I’m not much of a risk taker.

is there anything I should do to protect the vehicle in case I accidentally nose it down into a hole or something? Diff breathers, maintenance, etc?

Bigger tires and a 2" lift? Realistically other than getting the engine higher there isn't much you can do.

The diff breathers are high up so you are good there, could maybe change the diff oil a little more frequently if you are so inclined.

Thank you. That’s basically all I did on my JK. I wasn’t sure if the JL was any different.
