I installed Morimoto DRL/Turn signal lamps. I noticed when I gran the door handle the RF side marker lamp does not come on. I thought I left it unplugged. But then I realized it works in all modes correctly. Is this normal?
Nice lights . And I guess I should not worry to much. But is perplexing .

If you replaced the OEM incandescent lights with these LED units, you may need to go into the BCM and change the DRL/Marker Light settings to a LED setting. That means a app/tool like Jscan or a Tazer with a security bypass cable to make those settings.

They are plug and play. They work perfect. The side marker is the original bulb. I do have a tazer and I will still try that. Ty.

Both side markers are on their own separate power path to the BCM but I would not rule out the changes needing to be made to the BCM for the LED settings even though the Morimoto DRL/Turn Signal Lamps are advertised as plug and play.

I will try MoriMoto on Mon. The light up when I have the lights on. So I can live with it not working with entry system. Thanks for the input.

Yeah, that is the next logical step is contact them. I do not know about these DRL's they sell, but Morimoto seems to be a mixed bag sometimes in other products they sell.

I went from the OEM incandescent DRL's to some OEM LED take offs and swapped my front side markers for some smoke Diode Dynamic ones and really ran into no issue. I did the BCM setting changes before checking everything out, so I do not know if I would have had a like problem.
