I am looking to replace my Overlands front bumper and I really like the look of the RR Venator front bumper. However I don’t see how you can mount a front license plate easily. I contacted RR and their solution doesn’t provide a solid mounting point without additional fabrication. Does anyone with that bumper in a state that requires front license plates have a good solution?

There's a few ways you can go, from budget options to higher end ones. I have a Rugged Ridge Arcus, and went the Tuffy flip up license plate mount. Low cost, hasn't failed me, and satisfies my state laws of having license plate up front.

Have you had any issues with the screws holding the hinge coming loose?

None whatsoever, and I wheel every weekend. Mind you I'm an overlander, not rock crawler, so much of my off road time is limited to fairly well maintained forest roads, up to moderately rated trails where I'm very careful with my line and speed.
