Rubicon lower fender delete?

I apologize if this has been asked, but are the rear fenders on the Rubicon Gladiators two piece like they are on the JL?

If so, has anyone attempted to delete the lower half? I did this on my JL to clear bigger tires while not wasting available shock travel. I'm curious if I can do the same when my gladiator arrives.

Yes you can chop the rear fenders. I did that to my truck.
