Hey Everyone!

The Team at ExoShield is so excited to be a part of this forum and community ? We want to make sure anyone here that wants their windshield protected by ExoShield gets taken care of! If you have any questions about our windshield protection film, don't hesitate to reach out.

So first of all, what is ExoShield? Think of it like a giant phone screen protector, but engineered to protect your windshield from damage caused by rocks and other small objects hitting the bare glass.

Our goal is to keep the broken windshield club as small as possible from here on out!

If you’ve been Jeeping for any amount of time you are no stranger to the inevitable stress of even the smallest hit to your windshield.
Let ExoShield give you some peace of mind while you are on, and off-road!

How does ExoShield work, and how do you get protected?

ExoShield is a completely transparent film that features our endurance class nanoceramic hardcoat to make it super durable and scratch resistant for long lasting protection in any environment. When applied to your windshield, ExoShield makes the glass 6X stronger against impacts and is so clear that it does not impact the ADAS sensors underneath newer windshields.

Interested in getting your windshield protected? We would be happy to get you in contact with the installer nearest you!
OR you can always visit www.getexoshield.com/windshield-protection-film-installers to connect with the installing locations in your area.

What is the cost and warranty? Defo down for something better than gorilla glass. In 2 months of ownership and 6k miles I have collected 1 chip and 2 big cracks. I even had the gorilla glass rep at the EJS Jeep demo lot have a look. He said it might be a factory defect ?.

Do you have to recalibrate for the Adaptive cruise control (ACC) after install? This is a big concern if it will affect the sensor behind the windshield.

We hear about this kind of thing all the time. Gorilla glass while it is much stronger than the standard windshield, it still needs some help when it comes to impacts.

It sounds like this shield might be too far gone to protect, but when you swap it out for fresh glass be sure to connect with one of our installers for a quote to get it protected!

Great question!

The answer is not at all. ExoShield has been developed with these ADAS systems in mind and our film is so clear that the sensors don't even know its there.

I get having to get pricing from a local installer but is there a warranty and who would honor it? Any installer?

No installers in KS so looks like I won't be getting the opportunity to have installed.

Sorry about that! Missed that part of the original message.

The Manufacturers warranty is 2 years or 30,000 miles and it covers all material defects. Things like discolouration, hazing, peeling or delamination.

Depending on how you use your vehicle you may also be able to purchase our Extended Glass Protection Warranty. This is for daily drivers and commuter vehicles only, if you offroad, track or rally your vehicle the extended warranty would not apply to your vehicle.

To claim any warranty you would be prompted to return to the original installing location for the removal and re application of your ExoShield film.

So.... cheaper just to get another windshield. Or is the film you something you likely won't have to replace? I guess if it at least doubles the life it would be worth it. How does the film deal with the friction of wipers going across it constantly?

that's what I was thinking but if it does really work and is that much more durable it may be worth it than having to pay a $500 deductible through insurance to have multiple shields replaced each time.
