Hey there
got one that stumped the dealer so far. But this was also the tech that said spark knock is a couple inches of play in the steering is normal and that my aluminum steering box was iron. Service writer believed me over his tech and ordered the steering box anyway and said he’d have a better tech do everything again when I brought it in for that.
So I’m driving a JTM MANUAL TRANSMISSION.
when I shift into 4lo and move at 10mph or so I get “bong”SERVICE ESS”.
it goes away when I cycle the power.
happens every time. 10mph or so… BONG .
It does not say ESS unavailable in 4 lo. It says service ess.
no clue. Tech note was “suggest further diag”. Must have just come off oil or something. Dealer is super overloaded with work.
