I know I want the mini for various reasons which I don’t want to get into. What I’m curious about is should I get the current version that going around for sell $3300. Lino sing a new model is coming some point this year I’m taking a guess it’s going to be a lot closer to the $4k mark.
That’s a potentially big swing in price. Thoughts, Insights?

The mini is on my short-list as well and after the SEMA tease of the updated versions, I've been taking a wait-and-see toward the updated ones. While no specific release dates are available, iKamper has made general availability and pricing available on their website. I'm liking the changes, even with the increase in price. Of course, that's just me and my wallet. :)

I got signed up for that as well. The wife says go for it so once they pre-order opens I'm making the jump.

I did reach out to them about the accessories and learned that those will be later this year. So Annex, etc will have to wait.

Found some vides on the new tents and accessories from Korea where it's released already.

I'm curious about skycamp mini vs the x-cover 2.0 mini. I really like the set up for the hybrid hardshell tents but the x-cover doubles the footprint instead of the narrower fold out of the skycamp. I really like the space I have in my current tepui. The biggest question I have is whether either tent allows for the storage of bedding. It would be really nice to have that stuff stay in the tent in between camp spots.

I had that debate too and kept the Skycamp because for me it will be above the roof line and I'll take the extra aerodynamic points. Otherwise I would have taken the extra room in the x-cover mini.

The price on the mini was dropped just recently.
I do like the subtle changes they made to the locks and clamps as well as the bars used to support the shades above the windows. Those all seems to make it even easier to use, but none of that was worth the extra cost to me.

As such, I bought the current mini and will be using it in 10 days for the first time.

The Mini Checked off all of my needs and it fits the gladiator perfectly> With a half height rack, the front is below the roof line and has great aerodynamics.

I have a bunch of pics in a different thread in this section

I’m still undecided. The new one also has pass through for 12v and will have a new padding system. The mat and condensation were the most common complaints I heard on the older one. Buying the mats every upgrade with is a few hundred bucks cutting that margin.
But on the other hand, I could use the price difference to buy a nice fridge or the Annex.

You can always buy an Air Mattress as well
