Good morning team,
A few months ago took my Glad "Bernadette" to a local car audio shop to swap out all my speakers on my 2023 Mojave.
Kenwood's for all four 3.5", Kicker for 4" rollbar, upgraded knee pods to 6.5" JL's, JL audio Stealthbox for subs under back seat, and JL Audio M700/5 amp.
My issue has been that since I got it back, I hear a constant static-y hum and a high pitch sound from the speakers(not the subs)when accelerating and deceleration. (sounds like I have a tiny supercharger as the pitch increases as I accelerate through the gears)
My background is installing telecommunications cable, so I am familiar with opens, grounds and shorts..., but I'm not familiar with car audio so much though. This issue sound like a ground or some voltage on the line.
I have taken it back to them a few times to resolve the issue and every time they say they found nothing wrong. Additionally, they said they needed to keep the stock amp installed because of the can-bus system, so the amps are hanging off each other?(not sure about that one) This last time I got the truck back, the high pitch sound is almost gone, but my speakers are definitely not as loud as they were before I dropped it off. Which made me think they just turned the power output down on the amp to the channels with the speakers so it "fixed" the noise issue not thinking I would notice the fact that my speakers are NOT loud at all now. At max volume, I can have a normal conversation with my passengers and we can hear each other just fine.
I'm at the point now that I am ready to learn car audio and fix the issue my self. Any assistance on where to start my trouble shooting would be great through PMs or here on forums.
FYI, I do have the Genesis Offroad Dual battery kit installed
Thank you so much, and I'm sorry if this issue has already been brought up.
