I want to make my stock overland wheels gloss black.

Do I just need to put a coat of clearcoat on them , or do I need to paint the whole wheel with gloss black paint?

Any advise would be appreciated...thanks

here is a pic of my stock wheels...Its more of a matte black. I want it to be gloss black.

I would get them powder coated to get a good durable finish, especially if you intend to go off-roading, paint will just wear off when hit with rocks/ debris (IMHO)

That might be good. Do they have a glossy black power coating? I've only seen dull black.

Most motorcycle frames are powder coated so yes they can do gloss black.

Heck I don't do wheels but I can do gloss, semi-gloss, satin, and flat black, I can even do a black crinkle finish. Then a person can do clear powder coat over that, or do a pearl effect, there's almost no limit.

Did you get them powder coated? I am thinking about doing the same thing.
